Not a very good experience. Very disorganised. No matter how far back you contact them and request a room you might be sent home cause they do not have enough beds.
Sorry, have to rate this place 1 star comparing to the Botany birthcare where I stayed after having my first child. Some staff were communicating in a manner that I would not expect to be applied towards new mothers who are sleep deprived and just gave birth.
Food & lady handling the menus was love...
My wife and I had a private room and found the experience very helpful in our transition to parenthood.
There was a mixed bag when it came to the staff in regards to their approach and advice. The handover between midwives made it hard to get consistent advice as each had their own opinions, sens...
We had an amazing 2 nights in Birthcare. All of the midwives are caring, professional and helpful. To make the most of your stay, don t be afraid to call them in for every latch, nappy change or anything else you need. It was such a nice way to ease into motherhood, having 24/7 advice and food. All ...
Did the basic job. Second time we've used this place so I knew what to expect. Points to note, they are relatively understaffed, the people that work there seem rushed. Yes I realise this isn't a 5 star hotel but staff could be slightly more obliging.. The entire place is starting to get a little d...
I enjoyed it here.. The staff were all so amazing and always greeted with a smile. The food was delicious.. Just sucks you have to share a room.
Had the worst experience at Birthcare. Hope they will improve..
Very disorganised and understaffed, the people that work there seem very rushed. Different midwives day and night and they have different opinions and give different advice. so confusing. The quality of service you receive and meeting ...
Midwife named Anne is the best. However, more support is needed for first time mums.i feel midwives need to be more supportive and provide information and more support to first timers.
My son stayed the first night there. Full of sweet memories!
Superb service and support from the midwifery staff. The private rooms are worthwhile upgrade to the standard twin share for the privacy and space.
My sister had the worst experience here. My sister had a very difficult normal delivery. She has stitches, is in pain (obviously coz she has just delivered). Her partner was not allowed to stay overnight with her due to the restrictions. Which is fine if the night staff would have provided the much ...
I highly recommend this place to go to after welcoming a new born baby into the world.
Lovely staff who are so helpful in every way, I am still so blown away from my stay there....love love love it!!!!
My wife and I also had a terrible experience, astonishing lack of due care for new life, as someone else said INSANE
I could not recommend Birthcare more! All new mothers (and fathers) should absolutely come here. It s like a 3 day parenting 101 course amazing midwifes and meals delivered directly to your room. It made our first few days of parenthood so easy
my daughter was so happy to be transferred to Birthcare from hospital. the service is excellent. the room superb
recent experience was not good at all, no mid wife came to see us for 12 hours on the second night and 13 hours on the 3rd night, not a very good start at motherhood for my partner, lucky we had some idea of what to do. We paid over $700 per night and received 50% of the service. staff were really g...
we had our private room. It's small though but had everything you need. Midwife came within 5 minutes if you rang and gave good advised especially breast feeding. Each midwife had their own skills to share how to feed baby..
I would like to give -5 start if I could. That place is depressing, horrible and trauma. Never go there if you can manage.
We had a son with a straightforward (no complications) delivery born in the maternity birthing unit of Auckland Hospital, and mother and child were then moved to the Birthcare center for the first 24 hours, and then went home.
Not only were the midwife and the maternity/delivery facility at Aucklan...
Such a terrible place, run down old smelly rooms
Call the midwife they never come
Ask for pain relief wait all day
Different midwife on every hour
Given different information by each person
Paid a lot received a lot of stress and anger only from this place
If you wanna throw your money away th...
High quality facility and first grade care. There are some birthing suites available but your birthing options are more limited than across the park at Auckland hospital. If complications arise while at birthcare you may find yourself whisked off to the hospital.
My daughter FTP was supposed to go here but midwife Nadia Pendigrast never touched base for her check ups had to ring her. Ended up in hospital everything going fine for normal birth until Nadia turned up had c section.
Midwives here are extremely talented and caring, we felt like we were being looked after by our mother. Most recommended if you are a first time parents.
If it were possible I d give them 0 stars. Absolutely horrible experience at birthcare parnell after the birth of my first baby. The midwives are condescending, unsupportive and have no empathy. They are understaffed for sure.. The night staff never shows up when you ring them. I was up with my baby...
If you can afford to get a room on your own, it's fantastic. it's a shame though that a mother does have to pay almost a thousand dollars for two nights where she feels cared for, guided and supported on what can be some of the most terrifying nights of her life. Its a great experience though. Good ...
One of the worst experiences ever. Save yourself psychological trauma and give this place a miss.
1. I was day 2 post c-section. Hospital didn t give me a script for pain meds because they said I would be going to birth care and the midwives there would take care of it - my first night I waited...
2 Stars of 5, first two days were amazing, midwife Jennifer Ch. Is amazing, if you do considerer staying at birthcare, try to have her as your midwife, the night lady of the first two nights I think it was Juddy was great too, although the last day was just awful with the new team, we went from bein...
Nice facilities for pre and post natal care. Very highly experienced midwives. The best thing is the personalised attention which one gets in the stay here. The rooms are nice and cosy. A variety of meals are available and are freshly prepared always. The doctors and the consultants are very highly ...
Intimate and quiet comfortable and peaceful until baby cries.my daughters had their babies here.small rooms not suitable for large family visits all cant fit in the room.Mid wives are fantastic and helpful
I would recommend any new parent to be to go to Birthcare to receive some support with understanding your baby s needs. At Birthcare we felt supported by a highly skilled team that is available to help you at any time of the day. Push the button, even in the middle of the night and one of the lovely...
Horrible place like ghost house. Not recommended to anyone and above all staff is INSANE.
Lovely midwives, had a great experience during my post natal stay. Just wish the carpark was bigger.
My wife and i had a terrible experience at birthcare with our firstborn.
Worthwhile getting the premium room if you can. Great service.
Pathetic place, doesn't allow support person to stay past 8pm and won't let them back before 2pm next day. Nurse support is non existent. Who in thier right mind thought that a new mother would not need family member support to take care of child. Mother alone can't support the child a

OK, midewife's some are horrible, one was amazing. They will ingor a lot of your calls. All of them have a different opinion so the best advise is to do what you want. Pro tip, Google and YouTube will show you everything you need to do.

The food was mainly the only decent thing
Staff were so old school and rude
The team here really care and I had a great experience last Feb here. It was just what i needed with my first child.
Like an excellent hotel with midwives. Miss the 3pm cake.
I stayed with them for my post natal care & was taken care of very well. Would highly recommend it to anyone.
