Our yesterday's 60km bike ride through West Hollywood with George was awesome. Absolute recommendation, you are not stuck in traffic, but still sees a lot and especially places that you would not necessarily visit otherwise. I would particularly recommend George, he is a very talented, funny guide w...
If you ve never been to LA then there is no better way to see the sites of the city than on this fabulous bike ride. From Belair to the beach and Venice to Hollywood it is a blast all the way. Don t worry about the hills, my wife went on an eBike and declared it great fun! Thanks to Robbie in the of...
The 6 hour/32 miles bike tour was an awesome way to see so many sights in LA. Our guide Harris was very personable and informative. My 16 year old who started out very apprehensive said if it had not been for Harris he would not have enjoyed the tour as much.
Had an amazing tour with Steven as the guide. Friendly, knowledgable, funny. He was cautious when it came to our safety crossing roads etc. This is absolutely the best way to stay active while learning about and seeing LA. I recommend the LA in a day tour.
We aren't particularly into movie stars and aren't huge cyclists, and the Beverly Hills trip was a wonderful fit. It was an enjoyable way to see the sights and neighborhoods and the guide added fun details. Very thankful that we upgraded to e-assist bikes.
One of the best things to do ever!!! Eric is an excellent guide. On a gorgeous Saturday in May 2019 we biked in a big loop from Hollywood thru multiple points of interest including Beverly Hills to Santa Monica, Venice Beach, Marina Del Rey and back. So fun!
This hike was the highlight of my trip to LA. George really looked after the group, was so knowledgeable and friendly and gave us so much history, I didn't expect to come away learning so many new facts. Thanks George! I highly recommend the hike, I will be back next time.
I've done three tours at Bikes and Hikes LA. All three were awesome! The LA in a Day is my absolute favorite, because I got to see the whole city in just a couple of hours. I loved being outside and learning about this great city. Also the Sunset Hike I did was just voted the number one tour in Wher...
Nice staffers, they provide all you need for a fun tour. Did the self-guided tour of Hollywood. Just let me warn you, be fit for that one since some parts uphill are seriously steep.
Bikes & Hikes is just awesome. We had a great tour with Marc. They really know LA inside and out. We learned so many things. Much much better than those tourist bus tours. Great interaction in our group and just a terrific staff. Can't wait to do this again..They also had the coolest mascot..Woof wo...
This place is the way to see LA. Skip the traffic, get exercise, reduce your carbon footprint and learn a lot about the city all in one great outing! They have options for all skill levels, even if you haven't been on a bike for years. Definitely worth it!
The self-guided bike tour is a must! Great eco-friendly way to experience the city with excellent audio. Especially nice if you want the independence to go and see a few things on your own.
If you want to be awesome and bike all over CA -this is the place to come to! Rob was awesome-super friendly and helpful. I did the bike tour in '07 but this time my best friend put me in charge of leading. We reserved our bikes online which offers you a discount. Rob gave us our bikes, their polici...
There was not much interaction but I was satisfied with the service and our bikes. We rode from the store to Sausalito and then took a ferry back to the wharf. There is an option where you can leave your bike in Sausalito but for $12. I would definitely recommend and order then ahead of time online ...
Absolutely fantastic experience! We went on a bike tour with our whole family before my daughter went off to college on the east coast. Great memories were made, lots of wonderful photos taken. Great way to sightsee the city. Highly recommend them.
LA in a day: Seen a lot. Well-informed, enthusiastic guide. Varied route. People who are not accustomed to many bikes I recommend to take an electric bicycle, as are climbing a few violent at the beginning of the route.
I was stoked to know that sports basement rented out bike boxes for my trip to Whistler. I did everything online and it was super easy to pick up at the store, no hassle. I'll definitely rent from them again when I need another bike box! Thanks guys.
We had the best time on this tour. Taylor was an awesome guide. He kept us well informed and we where so comfortable cycling in LA with him. A "must do tour" when visiting LA
Sports Basement has an incredible selection and great prices on pretty much anything you can think of. What's even more impressive is the amazing people that work there.
This is an incredible way to tour LA - Danny was our tour guide and was so full of fun and was so interactive with the group! This is a great excursion and I recommend it to anyone!
Really enjoyed our 3hr bike ride. Tour guide (Andrew) was knowledgeable and took the toutlr at our pace. Great local insights and very safe. Great way to see LA and I'd definitely recommend it.
We booked a bike with a child seat and it was very good quality and fantastic to ride with.
My nephews were visiting from Argentina, and they are too young to rent a car, so I gave them the LA In A Day Trip. It was such a memorable experience!! They loved it. Definitely can't miss it.
The LA in a Day bike ride was my favorite day during my LA visit. I would recommend this option to anyone who has a free day and wants a really unique way to see the area. Thank you Nina and Kelly for an awesome ride!
A great experience! Our guide Eric was very knowledgeable, always upbeat, concerned about his clients, and showed his real interest in telling us about the sites we visited. I learned so much and had an experience biking LA that I would have never thought possible. It was fantastic. Just the exerci...
I had such a great time on the LA in a Day trip. During the 6 hours you get to see so much of the city and the guide has a fun and interesting way to tell you all about it. Definitely worth your time!
I loved the hike! The view was great, Kate (our guide) was personable, and it was just tough enough to be fun but not exhausting. It's a great intro for that region. I want to go again!
Every time I am in LA I book a tour with Bikes and Hikes and everytime I am glad I did. Earlier this month we did the LA in a day bike tour again. We feel like we covered about as much as you could of LA in a day. Our guide Chase was incredibly knowledgable and answered all of our many questions. Al...
i Have never rented with bikes and hikes LA and probably never will after the horrible customer service I received over the phone. After being put on hold and disconnected several times I was then yelled at multiple times by a man that they were sold out after asking what was available. My bad.
Went on a hike round Griffiths park to the hollywood sign. Alina was our guild and she was brilliant, she was friendly, personable and she had stories and information about the every area of LA. She also looked after everyone and when some people in the group fell behind she went to help and even ...
Steven was a great tour guide. Wasn't a moment that went by where he wasn't explaining something about LA! Really recommend doing it! Getting around LA on a bike is the best way!
I dead the Hollywood sign hike on Saturday December 7th. What a fabulous way to get fabulous photos of the Hollywood sign and to get great views of Hollywood and the rest of LA. The hike is easy going; anybody can enjoy it. There were 10 other people on the tour with me, all with very different fitn...
Brought a Giant Roam 3 bike with my stimulus payment, fell asleep like a crackhead on a couch and the bike was gone.i cant realky complain cause the bike was really great. They were cool and confident in the bike i was sold. At first i disagreed but when i pushed the bike it really held up. No conpl...
I visited L.A. with friends & we wanted to go hiking. Needless to say, our tour guide was very friendly & knowledgeable with recommendations. Our hiking excursion went smoothly & we had a great time! I would highly recommend them and would definitely go back to do the biking tour next time!
Very cheerful and friendly staff. Saved my Sunday bike trip by fixing two flat tires for me that morning. Rented from them before (at another location) and I was very satisfied.
Kate was an amazing tour guide she did an great job on leading us up the hike. She slowed down when some of us were way behind and I really appreciated all the stops to rest and drink water. Thank you so much for giving my family a unforgettable experience!!
Was I really there? Like Brigadoon, this magnificent little trail seems to have cropped up out of nowhere, taken me through a magical, mystical, misty journey, and then delivered me back into the world of concrete, disappearing behind me in foggy memory.
We did the Bike Tour of Movie Sites and Star Homes from Los Angeles. It was fantastic. Vey informative, nice ride, relatively easy, glad we did it. Much better than the bus.
I took the Beverly Hills tour and it was awesome. The bikes are like new and high quality as was our guide Riley. The tour itself is very interesting with lots of fun facts about West Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Part of the tour is a walking tour of Greystone Mansion which has quite a story in i...
Went in like usual to use the bike pump which was removed outside. Asked if there was a pump I could use inside to pump my bike, after having trouble pumping air into my bike. I asked if there was another pump or if I could get assistance. Was then told I would be charged $5 to get assistance. After...
Thanks Bikes and Hikes LA for this great experience!! Never thought i would be cycling through a city like LA. An amazing Los Angeles experience with amazing guides!! Highly recommended!!
So much fun!!! I have done a number of bike tours in various cities around the world and this was the most entertaining! The guides were fantastic. Chatty, engaging, friendly! What more could you ask??
The tour itself was awesome, we saw so much of LA and learnt so much random trivia along the wa...
Thank you Dan (DW). We had an amazing time with him. What was supposed to be a group tour turned out to be a personal tour and it was amazing. He took us to some great sites in Hollywood Hills and gave us lots of knowledge of LA. All around outstanding experience! Will definitely recommend this plac...
I loved the LA in a Day ride! I got to learn about cool Hollywood history, see some cool architecture and a great ride along the ocean. I highly recommend their hikes too!
I recently did the LA in a Day Bike tour and it was just amazing. I had no idea how great it can be discovering a city by bike. Our guide Danny was great and very interactive which we enjoyed very much. The tour covers the best landmarks of LA plus great exercise! I will definitely check out their o...
tour is definitely worth taking. I recommend a walking tour of the Griffith Park with an instructor and Kate guide. She showed herself as an expert in her field and an interesting storyteller. The tracks in the park are also very scenic. You can see the Hollywood sign, a view of the city and Holly...
They offer the best way you could ever experience a city like LA. Instead of sitting on a bus in traffic you pedal past all the highlights. You even go to places buses can't even access. The guide was super knowledgeable and even shared personal stories. Can only recommend!
My husband and I visited L. A for the firs time ever last week from Canada. We are both the outdoorsey adventure types! We really enjoy getting to see new places and meet new people! We did the L. A. in a day bike tour! While we were on the go for four straight days this tour was hands down the best...
This tour company is something special! The guide on the tour didn't only know a lot about the surroundings, but was sooo fun and full of energy as well! Also the front desk staff was great and helpful. If you are using one tour company in LA, it just has to be Bikes and Hikes LA
Did the "LA in a Day" cycle tour. Kris was a great guide with lots of knowledge, great story about the munchkin actors from Wizard of Oz and their behavior at the hotel they were set up in during the filming. Lots of sites and change in landscape throughout the day. Absolutely recommend upgrading t...
Great. We did the Hollywood tour, very fun to visit Hollywood in a different way, our guide Eric was great, not only at the talking part but also at signaling us/other traffic/pedestrians, guiding us safely through the busier sections and on communicating with our 6 year old (who did not understand...
It was the funnest way to get to see LA. The whole day bike tour was so fun and educational I can't recommend it enough. Brian was my tour guide and he was awesome!!!
Great experience exploring this beautiful city with well informed staff of Bike and Hike and all that while doing much needed exercise. Couldn t ask for more . Thank you Bike and Hike for making it possible.
It's not everyday that I actively decide to hike 5.5 miles on an incline as intense as the Hollywood Hills in Griffith Park, but I am so happy that I took part in the sunset hike with Bikes and Hikes LA! What a stunning way to explore Griffith Park and see the beautiful city of LA in ways I couldn't...
The employees were knowledgeable and helpful. Good pick ups for bikers- tire lubbers or whatever they're called to remove tires from wheels. Tri Flo lube, and some nice all purpose bike tools.
This review is specifically for the bike rentals available. When looking for a bike rental in San Francisco for the oh-so-touristy ride across the Golden Gate Bridge, this should be your go-to place. For only $15 (not including the 10% discount for Yelpers,) I was able to rent a spiffy 7-speed that ...
Such fun!! I went on 2 bike experiences around Beverly Hills and Hollywood, and 1 hike up to the Hollywood sign. All experiences were great and everyone there was so welcoming. Travelling by myself but never get alone on these trips with the team...fully recommended!!
Very pleasant and informative bike tour. Highly recommended! Bikes and Hikes gave excellent support and knowledge for the "The ultimate Los Angeles bike tour". They provided a personal attetion together with high-quality brand new bikes. I have not been on a bike in several years and this was a gr...
The bike i rented was in very good condition. The support was not good. They don't provide a spare tube, you have to buy it, they don't provide backpack, you have to pay extra, they don't help you to adjust the saddle... I rented the bike for 24h, for 1 more hour, they wanted to pay extra for 24h. ...
I came in with a flat tire this morning and John had me out the door in less than 15 minutes, with some great advice on how to avoid another one. An all-around awesome job, and a cool, friendly place with some awesome accessories I've never seen anywhere else.
We were out and about trying to get the best view of the bridge and were told to go here or to the Sausalito/Marin Headlands side. This trail is very convenient and is good for children and families. There are many stairs but other than that it is not difficult to get to this lookout point. Definite...
Wonderful experience. My guide Salo was very informative. Continuation narration of history and movie locations within the park as well as information on the magnificant sights. The pace of the hike was user friendly and informative. Salo saved the best for last as he took me to attended the observa...
06/23/19 We went on the LA in a day tour and it was excellent. We covered so many areas in just one day. It was amazing how many places we can say we have been and seen after this tour. Our tour guide, George was terrific! He shared a lot of information about the area. Our epic adventure was especia...
We had decided to book the Hollywood hike tour since we have never been and wanted to do the tour. We booked it a few days in advanced for the am tour since we had other plans later in the day. Since we weren't staying super close to the location we left about an hour early. On the way there(about 4...
5 star tours of LA! Our guide Danny was a real pro and clearly loves showing visitors what a great city LA is. Do the early morning Runyon Canyon hike for spectacular views and fresh air - great for beating the jet lag!
All these years, I never knew there was a trail that takes you from the legion of honor all the way to the Sutro Bath. We meant to go see the labyrinth but made a wrong turn at the junction and ended up at the Sutro Bath but turned out great. It's like you are walking in the rainforest or jungles. ...
It's probably best to check the weather before you head over here because a little fog can make the visibility disappointing. I got lucky with a clear sunny day and a beautiful view of the Golden Gate bridge! This is definitely a place I would take visitors to see the beauty of the bay area.
I was on the Sunset hike of Bikes and Hikes in Griffith Park. I had an absolute blast, our tour guide Kayla knew so much about the park itself, the city of Los Angeles, and she had a enthusiastic way of telling her stories that made it entertaining and easy to follow her. The hike itself is moderate...
From hilltop Beverly Hills mansions to white sand beaches and everything in between, this tour literally has it all! As a resident of Los Angeles, I was worried I wouldn t see or do anything new, however, I was pleasantly surprised by the knowledge of our tour guide, George. The best tour I ve ever...
