This is exactly what I needed for my upcoming trip through the Alps! San Bernardino Live does a fantastic job keeping the A13 tunnel, both portal queues, and the pass status in the same corridor-specific context. It is so much clearer than scrolling through a general navigation app. Seeing the visual checks alongside the weather and incidents really helps in deciding whether to take the tunnel or the pass. The editorial guidance adds a nice layer of context that explains the trade-offs involved. It is refreshing to have a focused, independent service that understands the specific nuances of Alpine driving and presents the data so clearly.
It is helpful to have pass availability considered alongside current weather and webcam views in one place. However, the distinction between a normal delay and a disruption could be explained more clearly for new drivers. The editorial guidance is useful, but relying on it for safety-critical decisions requires caution since it is not an official source.
San Bernardino Live provides a very convenient interface for checking the A13 tunnel and pass conditions before starting a journey. The dashboard clearly displays queue lengths in kilometers and estimated waiting times, which helps drivers assess the situation quickly. It is useful to see both the northbound and southbound portal statuses in one place. The site keeps the information focused on this specific corridor, avoiding clutter. While it is unofficial, having a single view for the tunnel, pass, and weather makes planning easier compared to switching between multiple traffic feeds.
