The Beltline Bar remains a Grand Rapids staple, serving up authentic Mexican cuisine since 1966. While I’m not a regular, I always enjoy my visits. This time I opted for the famous wet burrito instead of the traditional set, and it was definitely the right call. My whole group enjoyed their meals, so I can’t complain about the food quality. I’m just a bit tight-fisted, so the lack of free chips and salsa kept this from being a perfect five-star experience for me.

Had a great dinner at Beltline Bar last week. Jordan was a wonderful server and really looked after us. As someone from Indiana, it was refreshing to find another spot serving up Wet Burritos here in Grand Rapids. I’ll admit I was a bit wary since my first experience with the dish was at Hacienda in Evansville back in the late 90s, but these are genuinely delicious. The food was tasty, the service was spot-on, and I’ll definitely be returning next time I’m in town.
