Bella Luna Cafe

Food was fantastic and the owner was very friendly and talked with us. Had seen this on Diners drive-ins and Dives and it was perfect off the main tourist trip, Mom and Pop atmosphere and fantastic deep dish with great cheese pull.

Like many, DDD lead us to Bella Luna. We are a family of 5 with two teenagers and a 21 year old. All of us were happy and full upon leaving! We visited on May 27 for dinner. The food was fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced. Our server was so nice and prompt ~ a welcome change from the dining scene today! Highly recommend the fried ravioli appetizer!

Can I give this establishment 10 stars please!? ********** Homemade ravioli cooked to perfection...so so tender, meat delicately placed inside to complete this union. Homemade marinara sauce seasoned delicately, so aromatic and delicious, my tastebuds were dancing to the rhythm of the flavor! This sauce is AMAZING!!! Should put it out in the market! Chicago style deep dish pizza, crispy on the outside and total goodness inside! Do not miss your chance to dine in heaven and be served by a most gracious man Antonio. Awesome, humble man who is attentive to his customers...he makes you feel like part of the family dining together. I thoroughly enjoyed this cafe! It was freezing outside but this place was warm and cozy, atmosphere and company! Fabulous food, fabulous new friend, fabulous visit! Thank you Antonio...and to the chef! Kudos!!

Delish! Small business, with BIG food! Generous portions of yummy Italian fare! Highly recommend the gnocchi!

I ordered a 7 inch pizza, which was excellent. The place was clean and cozy. Also Alex was definitely one of the best and friendliest servers I've ever had anywhere!

I'm visiting Chicago from out of town this weekend and just happened to walk by and stop in. Ended up being a good choice, and I'll have to eat here again next time I'm in town!

Quite happy with this venue. We saw it on DD&D and tried the pizza they made. The owner was present and helped us. He is super friendly and delightful. He s also proud of his great food.
The tiramisu was excellent and they make it in house. That was a surprise.
The space is simple but the food speaks volumes. I recommend it for sure.

The food here is good, the price is good, and the people are great. They are certainly under staffed but as soon as they figure out to hire an additional server or two it will be great. Real pleasant atmosphere and a couple TVs on playing sports. We ll come back here for sure. Good Italian food and the bartender loves talking baseball, go cubs!

The trick is to get your reservations in early, they fill up fast. Service is A+, food is A+++. We had five in our group, everyone tried something different and no one was disappointed.

Good ravioli and sauce. Excellent cheesy thin crust pizza!
