Was great staying here! Desk man was very nice, friendly, and informative. Room was comfortable, all was clean. Quiet. Parking off street. Reasonable cost, stayed 2 nights. Would go there again for sure!

Separate dorms for males and females are great but on some levels the toilets are on the opposite sides for some reason. Parking is only available for high priced rooms but if you're there on a weekend there's space across the road near the pool. Friendly service but it's an older complex now.

My week stay in a private room was bearable. The room and building felt very much like a boarding school. In my room was a relatively comfy bed, a desk and chair, wall mount tv and some shelves for my gear. The pool is a good feature however due to the design of the building the pool temp is mainly cold (be great mid summer). My biggest issue was with the kitchen. Plates and cutlery are available for hire and there is minimal cooking utensils and basic pots and pans. There also seems to be a plumbing issue as the kitchen floor drain was blocked and overflowing. Great staff though who kept facilities cleaned daily. I did not interact much with other guests here, not the kind of people I felt comfortable getting to know. My overall review is that there are better places for less or same price if you look.

Stayed for one night, stains on floor, filthy kitchen, bathrooms communal and unkempt. Overall the worst place I've ever stayed. Price ridiculous for a single room, felt like a prison.

Very basic accomodation if you're looking for somewhere cheap and easy to stay a few nights. Friendly staff. Kitchen is often a bit of a mess but that's more down to the tenants.

I was alone in the room so I had a good sleep, the only downside was that I coud feel the springs of the bed in my back wich was quite uncomfortable

advantage of this hostel is having big space in the room you can organize your stuffs well

The place didnt feel secure. Was the only affordable option we had so just rolled with it. But even for the price we paid it was over priced. Showers didnt look like they had been cleaned in weeks and the bedrooms felt dirty.

Clean rooms, good value for money. Good location to get to the city. However some staffs' demeanor good be improved a bit and not particularly helpful or cheerful, but was generally OK. Defenitely recommend though.

Friendly reception, you can cook your own meals, groceries are near.

Good place and also good when it comes to budgetting expenses. In fairness, they have good softy bed, compare to all the hostels I've been. In total, it just made me smile.

The night staff, or the rude french man behind the desk really put me off. Otherwise the place is good, cheap, clean accomodation

Paid for a room through AGODA for a relative and Beatty Lodge would not accept a government photo id card. Both organisations are a complete waste of time and they won't refund my money for 4 weeks. I suggest you shop elsewhere.

Quiet, friendly, clean. The kitchen is a mess, but it gives you a good night's sleep.

Beatty Lodge is a verry calm and quiet hostel. All the facilitys ar clean and tidy and the staff is friendly and helpful.

In the Centro of Perth, vintage hotel, nice and clean rooms, but made on wood and Everytime somebody walk You listen rumors.

Nice swimmingpool. Ok rooms. They charge more if you want to pay with an international card. Kitchen doesn't have much. Becareful for people stealing out of the fridge.

Great value for the price, close to everything, gym adjacent, 2mins to leederville restaurants. Those giving lower ratings should consider the price in there review. Would happily stay again when in Perth alone. Not the hilton but clean, safe and central.

Ive been to alot of hostels and lodges in perth and this would be a 1 star lodge, from visiting perth there has been many other lodges/hostels which are way better value for money. Rooms are old with old carpet and old beds. Kitchen is basic, with 1 broken oven and 1 oven that doesnt get hot for a long time. $10 to borrow plates and knives that just got stolen by other people. This place had alot of people on drugs there with someone offering me heroin. Alot of old people drinking alcohol who smell were here. Dont book a week because after one night your going to want to leave. I had talk to a friend who stayed there 3months before me had similar experience. I wish he could of told me sooner!Bike was stolen in front of cameras but some staff did not seem to care. If you want a good hostel try hostel g, this place is alot nicer. So compared to all the places in perth this would have to be one of the worst.

Fantastic value, great service from the staff, rooms nothing flash but totally comfortable. I d definitely stay there again.

Great hostel / budget accommodation for quiet people looking to rest.
I've found Beatty lodge to be generally quiet clean, basic, affordable, and comfortable. Its not a party hostel but can be comfortably social with a good mix of people from both national and international backgrounds. The staff are quite approachable and happy to help, the kitchen is spacious and reasonably clean, and the dinning space is comfortable. It's got a nice pool and across the road is fully equipped pool complex. The rooms are nicely spacious, warm in the winter and cool in the summer, bedding is basic but comfortable and the bathrooms are reasonably good.
It's become my hostel of choice for when I'm in Perth.

because my mother and sisiter checked out an hour late { day after getting off a long haul flight so jetlagged also shes a 72 year old woman! who needed somewhere to stay as her previous accommodation fell through }, they would not give her a refund off the nights she,d paid for in advance, shame on them, and from the looks off the accommodation I think she was thankful to get out off there anyway.

Can t beat $40/night for a clean and comfy private room. Table w two chairs, shelving, tv, mirror. No option for en-suite bathrooms but they are separated by by sex. And then again separated by showers and toilets both with sinks in them. Very clean. Friendly staff. Private parking available. Pool as well. Kitchen does close between 10pm-7am.

For the price it was pretty good, if you dont have towels though make sure you ask at reception for towels as you check in and make sure you have change for snacks and drinks/coffee because its all in vender machines... staff are awesome and beds are comfy :)

Price in relation to quality as the most adequate. The room has a comfortable bed, where you can sleep. Well-equipped kitchen, so you can cook something yourself. In the kitchen, all necessary cooking utensils and a fridge. If you do not have plates or cutlery, you can rent them at the reception, you only have to pay a $ 10 deposit, which is refundable. Wi-fi available throughout the building, sometimes pruned but nothing to complain about. Clean and tidy without luxuries. There is also a swimming pool, although I didn't use it. Very nice and helpful staff

Very close to the CBD, affordable but clean and cozy rooms. Receptionist was pleasant to deal with.
