During the colder months of the pandemic (winter '20-'21), I have come to trust and use Beans and Barley as a comforting sanctuary. Most customers wear masks correctly and all staff do. The staff are very friendly and positive which I so appreciate these days. Also, the deli guys are often so fashionable and colorfully dressed. They offer curbside pickup through their website or phone number. I respect the fact they closed their dining room in late fall due to rising cases. It shows they're sacrificing to help stop the spread of COVID which is not lost on me. I also loved their cheerful holiday decor. Thanks Beans for being awesome during a super tough time.
Few things, that I thought is worth penning down as review. I loved the fact that they have parking space. I am one of those that like to park and not walk a mile to eat. I am not that crazy about any restaurant. I loved the fact that they have outside seating. That basically straight off avoids invisible killer COVID. After you pick your food inside and pay. They served the food at the table. 5 start for that. They replaced my coffee with hotter one. Needless to say food was great. It s pick and go type. Just like the way I like except for I sat out and enjoyed sunny evening. There are bunch of flyers about local event at this place. I love the fact that they promote local businesses. It s a great location right in the middle of everything so don t mind noisy road, Cops sirens going off etc. Big thumbs up to staff working here. They are polite and friendly. I was here late summer and just when economy started to open. So there were not too many people around but still all tables outside were occupied. So, I guess you may have to wait when they are busy.
I ve always loved beans and barley. Great healthy food and a lot of speciality items in the store. The restaurant/ deli food is reasonably priced but the grocery/ retail items are a little high. Either way it is a nice place to grab a quick lunch or do a little convenience grocery shopping. Staff is nice but can get busy at times. Bathrooms are clean.
The staff makes this place awesome!! I ordered a last minute banana cream pie in the morning and even though they didn't have a full one in the back they made it happen!! Every time I called I was handled with care and when going to pick it up Corbin helped me out and was very friendly and helpful. Plus the pie was excellent, and everyone should get a slice at some point in their lives.
One of my favorite local spots. The groceries and goods are pricey but a great variety of fun stuff. I have bought my share of great knick knacks and fine goods. Surprisingly the restaurant inside that has a lot of vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and healthy options is incredibly affordable and tasty. Also, great customer service.
First time here and it was awesome! The food was delicious ( I got a burrito and my bf got the stir fry). Baked goods and items in the store were so delicious and fun to look at while waiting for our order. Will be coming back for sure!!
Wish I would have gone in here sooner! Love the deli section, great healthy, tasty options! The hummus is to die for. Good looking wine section to boot.
