Voor de prijs die je betaalt bij BBI Travel in Eelde-Paterswolde, krijg je weinig voor je geld. De informatie die wordt verspreid is vaak misleidend en de accommodaties vallen erg tegen. Het valt ook wel tegen dat ze hun verantwoordelijkheid niet nemen als er iets niet naar wens is. Ik zou er daarom beter van af zien om daar je reis mee te regelen.

BBI Travel uit Eelde-Paterswolde heeft naar aanleiding van mijn gedetailleerde wensenlijst accommodaties in Zweden geboekt, maar de uitvoering liet zeer te wensen over. Ik ontving amper foto’s en de reisinformatie was zeer summier. De accommodatie die werd aangeboden was totaal niet wat ik had verwacht; het was erbarmelijk en eigenlijk onbewoonbaar. Daarnaast was de service van BBI Travel teleurstellend. Ik werd weliswaar beloofd dat men contact op zou nemen, maar er kwam een simpele e-mail met de mededeling dat ik het maar zelf moest oplossen, zonder enige vorm van compensatie. Vervolgens waren ze moeilijk bereikbaar en het noodnummer was een lachertje. Kwalitatief slecht en service gericht op minimum. Ik ga in ieder geval niet meer bij BBI Travel boeken.

Rating: 2/10 Els and Marten Meijer Willemstad, 12 November 2022 Our recent cruise on the MS Vesteralen with Hurtigruten, booked through BBI Travel, was a mix of beautiful scenery and frustrating value issues. We sailed from October 29 to November 9, 2022. The weather was calm, the sea was peaceful, and we were lucky enough to see the northern lights a few times. Regarding the ship itself, the food was generally good, though my wife, who avoids cow milk, had a harder time unless the waitress helped her out. We also noticed that while basic coffee was free, it tasted like dishwater. For proper espresso or cappuccino, you had to pay high prices, which felt unnecessary. We also found the Wi-Fi to be a rip-off at 485 NOK per person (about €100 for two of us). BBI recommended the "Select Package" for us, which we paid €750 for. Looking back, it felt like we paid a lot for very little. The main issue was the excursions, which were all overpriced. We took four of them: 1. **North Cape**: Cost 1,690 NOK per person (approx. €170). We saw a taxi bus offering the same route for just 500 NOK. On the way back, we stopped at a "King Crab" spot where we could take photos but didn't actually see any crabs. 2. **Kirkenes Snow Hotel**: Cost 1,350 NOK per person (approx. €135). Other passengers took taxis for just €10 and paid €30 to enter the hotel. We were told we visited the Russian border, but we didn't see it. 3. **A Taste to Vesteralen**: Another 1,350 NOK per person. This one was nice, but still very expensive. 4. **Bergtatt Marble Mine**: This was a disaster. The marble mine itself was okay, but the rest of the tour was terrible. We spent 3.5 hours driving in the dark, and the guide kept pointing out things we couldn't see. On the Atlantic Road, we stopped for 30 minutes, but the restaurant was closed, leaving us standing by the highway with nothing to do. The tour felt like a waste of time and money, especially since the price was reduced to 1,701 NOK due to complaints. Overall, the scenery was great, but the high costs for excursions and onboard amenities made us feel like we paid a lot for almost nothing. It was a shame.

De reis van BBI Travel in Eelde-Paterswolde voelt weinig doordacht. We moesten lang wachten op locaties waar diverse excursies plotseling uitvielen omdat ze in het weekend gesloten waren, zonder dat we dit tijdig waren bericht. De service is daar ook niet voor verbeterd; er ontbreekt echt een gevoel voor meedenken en enige vorm van coulance.

Klapper in de maag bij BBI Travel in Eelde-Paterswolde. Je denkt een camperhuur te regelen, maar nergens staat dat het onder de ANVR-voorwaarden valt. Dat staat niet in de mailwisseling, niet in de bevestiging en plotseling kom je die annuleringsnota tegen, terwijl alles anders lijkt. In plaats van gelijk even mee te denken, komt na twintig uur de mededeling dat je een tegoedbon krijgt in plaats van terugbetaling. Dat is net wat je niet wilt als je al geannuleerd hebt. Geen cent coulance, geen duidelijkheid en je staat er met je geld alleen voor. Ik ben mijn geld kwijt en mijn vertrouwen in BBI Travel is het ook.

Hoewel de fjorden werkelijk spectaculair zijn en het voedsel aan boord van de Polarlys voortreffelijk, zette de accommodatie mijn reisbeleving flink op scherp. Mijn kamer op dek 3, direct boven de krachtige motoren, was een echte nachtmerrie. De overvolle verbindingen tussen BBI Travel en Hurtigruten bleken niet helemaal deugt; we kregen geen goede afhandeling en de beloftes bleven uit. Wat erger was: door de enorme geluidsoverlast van 24 nachtelijke stops, waar het voelde alsof je naast een vliegtuig slaapt, had mijn man, wiens specifieke gezondheidsproblemen ik al bij de boeking aangaf, amper nog energie. Hij kon nauwelijks aan excursies deelnemen of het schip verlaten. Het personeel aan boord keek verbaasd naar onze situatie, maar dat hielp ook niet. Voor een prijs die je betaalt, had ik meer service en een rustigere kamer verwacht.

Op vakantie geweest met BBI Travel naar IJsland en dit was echt onze meest avontuurlijke vakantie tot nu toe. Wij gaan eigenlijk altijd op avontuurlijke vakanties, maar nooit eerder was het zo'n succes als dit keer. We hebben echt onwijs veel gezien en heel veel dingen gedaan. Wat is IJsland een prachtig land. Wij hadden van tevoren niet gedacht dat er zoveel te zien zou zijn. BBI Travel had alles heel erg goed geregeld en de excursies zijn echt de moeite waard. Mijn man en ik zijn nu alweer plannen aan het maken voor onze volgende vakantie en dit gaat waarschijnlijk Canada worden.

Als liefhebber van wonderlijke natuurverschijnselen stond het Noorderlicht al lang op mijn wensenlijstje. Met een goede kennis heb ik via BBI Travel een reis naar het noorden van Nederland geboekt, en dat was een schitterende keuze. Het geboekte pakket, inclusief begeleiding door een gids die op zoek ging naar de aurora, heeft zeker de moeite waard geweest. De gids was zeer deskundig en wist talloze interessante feiten te delen die zelfs voor ons als welverlichte reizigers nog nieuw waren. BBI Travel biedt hier echt kwaliteit. Ik kan deze ervaring van harte aanbevelen en ik kijk er naar uit om volgend jaar weer een avontuurlijke vakantie bij deze organisatie te boeken.

Als gepassioneerde liefhebbers van Scandinavië boeken we al vaker onze reizen via BBI Travel. Wij zijn geen zon-liefhebbers, maar juist op zoek naar cultuur en bezienswaardigheden, en daar bieden de Scandinavische landen alles voor. Wij kozen voor een pakketreis bij BBI Travel. De prijs-kwaliteitverhouding was niet perfect; de reissom had best iets lager mogen uitvallen. Desondanks hebben we echt heel wat gezien en de tijd was goed besteed. Voor de ervaring die we hebben opgedaan, hebben we er geen moeite mee.
