One of my favourite restaurants on the northern beaches. It had a make over in 2019 worth the wait. I love the pasta with Ragu and pork steak.
I regularly go back to this place as I live close by. Great beach and great views to go with it.
The last time I went was a little noisy due to Christmas parties I guess, so if you want a quiet or romantic dinner, avoid December time.
Staff are efficient and friendly. The food is served quickly and deserts are a must so make sure you leave some room. I love the atmosphere of this place.

A very nice location, with the beach right in front of you, this venue can have so many way to hold your function that up to your imagination. Very attentive staff with good food. The three course meal delivered in a good timing with nearly every guests out of fifty can enjoyed together, while not over cooked nor got cold.
Dessert was brilliant, must be the chef's specialty.

I was very disappointed with this place. I had heard great reviews. But it really did not live up to my expectations. We had a fabulous view But the food was not ver warm felt like it had been defrosted but not that well. Staff were either very over attentive or not. But hadn t read that we were in the tasting menu. I would only recommend this place for the views. Totally disappointed

First impressions were good, as the restaurant was on the beach & the views were lovely. That's about where it ended. Overpriced food & bad service. Lunch options were limited to set courses, wine was average (despite asking for a chardonnay, I was served a shiraz initially) and the food was tasteless or odd. It was supposed to be my special birthday lunch with a good friend. Will not be returning & would not recommend it.
It used to be popular but there was only one other table occupied and I can see why. The cafe next door was full. I'll try that, maybe.

What an amazing venue for lunch or dinner. Food was 2nd to none. Right on Sydney Harbour at Balmoral Beach provides a quiet location for any venue. Batters consists of an A la Carte Restaurant and a more casual style cafe. Both serve incredible meals and have amazing views overlooking Sydney Harbour.
The Restaurant food is really top shelf and can not be criticised in any way. The service was impeccable and the wine selection surpasses most restaurants. Not cheap by any means, but you certainly get what you pay for. Save this restaurant for a really special occasion! Well worth it in every way!

Organised a family lunch for mum's birthday here. The view and atmosphere were superb and the food was superb. Being wine lovers, we really appreciated the knowledge and expertise of the sommelier who helped us pick out a couple of wines which would go with our mains. I thoroughly enjoyed my lamb loin, it was flavoursome, moist and tender - the smoked cous cous gave it an exotic touch. Thanks for also catering for vegetarians, my niece was delighted with the array of options. It was simply a beautiful afternoon with great good, wine and company!

If you don't mind parking trouble, this is best place for a weekend brunch. Awesome view if it's not raining. Ocean breeze and dog walkers' paradise. Great for family outings and family portraits. Dinner is superb. Nice service at night time. Food is just right and he ambiance is romantic.

The Bathers' Pavilion is reliably awesome. It's immaculate, with a stunning view and some of the best staff around. They are there when you need them, but not constantly hovering. The food is also immaculate and presented with precision, but backed up by bold flavours. They have a dedicated vegetarian menu which has amazing choices, going well beyond the stock standard options.

The Bathers' Pavilion is the place to impress in a sophisticated way, with great food, great wine and a fantastic view.

We are well travelled domestically and internationally so we think we are well qualified to comment. Bathers is a 5-star location, arguably a 3-star fitout (not that comfortable and noisy) with a 1-star menu delivering very ordinary food at extraordinary prices. Local pubs and cafe's show this place a thing or two. Sorry Bathers, very dissapointed.

Betel Leaf at Bathers - Thai with great service

Lunch on a Saturday, enjoyed the fish, the Pad Thai (excellent), the green curry and of course the betel leaves. Great friendly service, a nice drinks list with a number of options by the glass, good cocktails and a nice ambiance.

Enjoyed the soundtrack, and that we weren't rushed. All the COVID requirements met, not too noisy, and comfy seating.

Quite a disappointing experience. The food was way too try hard and honestly not that good. The service was wierd and quite unfriendly, which is unusual in Australia, where everyone is laid back and super nice. The only real selling point is the location. Right on the beach with some amazing views. How ver I think that the cafe annexed to this high scale restaurant offers the same benefits, with less overpriced dishes.

The Bathers Pavilion is a restaurant and cafe in a 1920s building serving seasonal Modern European cuisine and over 350 wines. Bathers' offers a fine dining hatted Restaurant, busy upmarket Cafe, private function area, takeaway Kiosk and Art Gallery! The Bathers' Pavilion is the place to take visitors in Sydney. Even Sydneysiders will be quietly chuffed by the crisp, modern dining room designed to take in stunning views of Balmoral Beach.

An utter disappointment since having changed hands late last year and will not return to what used to be an institution delight. An unfortunate lack of service across wait staff, and you should not offer a deal you don't honour (to have run out of 1 of 2 specials - and the only one that is vegetarians - at 6:30pm in the evening)

My family and I dined at Bathers for lunch, the first time I have been there in many years. It was a beautiful day and the location does not disappoint as one of the best in Sydney to have lunch on the harbour. However the prices have become excessive. Although the food was good and the service friendly, the prices gave an expectation of something more that for me wasn't delivered. If you don't mind paying for the location then you will probably be happy.

We enjoyed a delicious meal as a group of six. Absolutely fabulous menu and the wines were excellent. We were in the main dining and would have expected better service. I felt the young waitress thought she was at home and walked up to the table and interrupted us whenever she wanted to ask something. No idea of good service.
I feel they need to train the wait staff better.
Everything else was fantastic including a very experienced sommelier who was most helpful.

I've eaten at both the cafe and fine dining restaurant. Both are great! The cafe is run well, with an attention to detail that includes both the service and the food. It is family friendly too. My only problem with it is that it gets too crowded and noisy on a busy day.

Brunch at Bathers' is always a great meal. The setting cannot be beat on the picturesque Balmoral beach and the menu is very unique for brunch.

I recommend getting there earlier in the morning to get a more comfortable table in the main dining room, rather than the cafe.

Not worth the hat. Our menus were completely inconsistent, mine was missing a page and hers had an extra page with 3 of the 5 desserts, but a different bottom two. Staff were fairly useless, no silver service, no explanation of the menu or the wine menu, when my partner asked what wine would go with the food we had selected they just started serving them up without any explanation.

Basically a waste of time, we won't be back.

Was in a wedding at Bather's Pavillion. Food were all good. Very poor service for the managers. However the waiters and waitress were all awesome. Totally respect the waiters and waitress that they're still smiling towards the guess where the managers are both shouting at them.

Most recently I had dinner in the French bistro part of Bathers'. The food was delicious and the wait staff were the right amount of engaging. These guys know how to do French food. Sometimes French restaurants try too hard to be French, but the chefs here get it right and the flavours are beautifully balanced. The place has great atmosphere, whatever time of the day you decide to visit.

Bather's is a truly classy restaurant set in right along the picturesque Balmoral beach. The food was of high quality and presentation and along with attentive service and accommodating staff a great dining delight. Be warned prices here are quite high but overall a good experience.

fine dining, lots of attention to detail in the dishes, beautiful lovely setting by the beach - go for lunch rather than dinner to enjoy the view. Very extensive daunting wine list, great service, some dishes were a bit OTT - desserts were amazing and the highlight

An experience like this can only be complimented by very few words as this place really lets the products on offer do the speaking. The quality of not only the dishes and beverages, but also of the service and the venue itself are in a way, an art form, and it would be a sin not to draw on how worthwhile this experience was. The 5-course menu as shown below (in order) was a display of both skill and utmost quality and there could be no faults drawn from any of the dishes from last night. Although price may be of a concern for some, I can promise anyone that this venue is well worth every cent you spend.
