Barat Education Foundation is a non-profit organization that was established in 2000 after the merger of Barat College with DePaul University. The foundation aims to promote civic education and engagement among students, educators, and communities through its three component programs: OAV Schools and Communities, Citizen U®, and Civic Life Collaborations.
The Our American Voice® Institute is one of the flagship programs of BEF. It is an innovative civic education program that empowers young people to become active citizens in their communities. The program provides students with the knowledge, skills, and tools they need to engage in meaningful dialogue about important issues affecting their communities.
