First time . Had the appetizer , lobster . Unbelievable !
Entree's were , crab cakes and duck . I have never had anything that tastes that good before . Been to a lot of different restaurants in Lexington , but AZUR is probably my favorite !
Hats off to the chef !!!
Outstanding !!!
If you want to know how to run a true 5* restaurant, talk to Chef Jeremy Ashby! This guy gets it done. Well trained wait staff, well trained cook's, true leadership and creativeness make Azur by far my favorite restaurant in Lexington!
Get over there!! Try the woven shrimp or one of the many other amazing dishes. Fusion cuisine at it's best. If your in the mood to have a true dining experience try one of the tasting menu's! They will truely take you on a culinary journey!!!
Exquisite dining experience. The food was amazing and the service was top notch. Be sure to save room for dessert the cheesecake was to die for and the flourless chocolate torte with ice cream and lit on fire was deliscious.
I was in town visiting family when we decided to dine here. Hands down one of the best restaurant experiences I have had in a long time. The atmosphere, food and server all contributed to a fantastic evening. From the moment we walked in we were greeted promptly and felt very welcome. We sat outside on the patio to enjoy the last bit of warmth before fall starts. Our server, Lucas came over to inquire about drinks immediately. Lucas was warm, genuine and had some excellent recommendations. We went with his suggestion for drinks, the Pomme Kir. We also ordered the appetizer crab crepes. Both of these items were talked up by our server but they far exceeded my expectations. Our main courses, mozzerella chicken and salmon were also delectable. We finished with a peach creme brulee that was something I had never had before and am anxiously awaiting the chance to come back to town just to have again. This was truly a grand culinary experience that will not disappoint even the most distinguisable gastrophile. The service we received from Lucas also elevated this dining experience. He is a knowledgeable young man with a discernable taste and excellent recommendations. If you ever find yourself in Lexington, KY and want a true dining experience please visit Azur and ask for Lucas.
The food is great just a little pricey and the tables are to close together. Will definitely go back when the patio is open
Service was poor, 30 minute wait for our drinks, but the manager did address the issue and things improved. This kind of killed the mood. The food was great!
Great place to have a Good meal and enjoy the night
Good food, becoming a Lexington fixture. If you want something deliciously different, head to Azur. The food is exceptional, and they have a well stocked bar and surprisingly broad wine selection.
Of course I give my 5 stars very nice kinda quiet spot to get good food
A bit unsettling of an experience. Azur has been a favorite for us because of the open air outdoor seating and the reliably good food. However, our last experience has made me wary. There is now a tent being used for the winter which still provides some extra ventilation but the live music was so loud it was impossible to have a normal conversation. (Shouting of course, only increases the spread of covid.) We asked to be moved away from the music and we were... but we had to move inside which we were wary of and in the end the move did not help with the music volume issue. The food was fine, not spectacular and some dishes we were familiar with were not the same. (B team chef?) We asked for ginger ale multiple times and kept being given Sprite. (B team bartender?) Anyway, it was a disappointing experience which means we will probably not take guests to Azur for some time to come.
Truffle fries and good wine, what more could a girl need?! Turns out..everything else on Azur s fresh and local menu!
I really liked the outdoor patio. Great service. Food was great.
The food is delicious and the staff is great! If you want quality dining with a relaxed feel, this is the place for you!
Food and atmosphere are top-notch. Can't miss this restaurant if you're in Lexington!
The food is outstanding!!! Service is very warm! Makes you feel special, and you really are special for everyone at Azur!
AZUR is a nice restaurant but not in a convenient location for me so I haven't made the trip back. They had good food choices at fair pricing but nothing was spectacular. Service was a bit slow during my visit. It's worth trying out but only if you are in the area.
It is astounding this place is able to maintain a rotation of clientele for how poor the quality of the food was. Yes, the food was presented well but that does not compensate for completely missing the mark on every dish that made its way onto our table. Half of the dishes were too sweet, the other half over cooked and bland. Save yourself a lot of money and don't go here. We should have gone to Applebees across the street, food was sure to have been better.
great food, nicer patio. Excellent bourbon selection.!
Wonderful experience! Great food and great service!
The room which I stayed is big,it around 600 sq ft with two toilet inside with living area and sleeping area and tea time area. And the bathroom is good, the towel is soft and thick and I suspect it is imabari towel.
Also the two public bathroom located on ground floor also good and you must at least try to bath with your kids there for one time during your stay.

Never was a fan of Brussel sprouts. Now I can't get enough of them! My wife and I definitely will be back. Portion size was amazing, the wait staff was amazing, the entire experience was overall very satisfying. Highly recommend this place.
Great Restaurant, food is always cooked great, menu is a little limited with not a lot of variation. That is normal for an nice place that is small and local like this.
A wonderful meal and fantastic wait staff. I had a great, quiet dinner with my family, and the staff/chef suggestions we're on point. I will definitely be returning.
Great service, wonderful food and a fun atmosphere. Super friendly management. Make you feel like royalty
Enjoyed the music from the patio and the bourbon fried chicken! My friends had the filet and said it was excellent! Much thanks to the bartender for making a bourbon flight for me! Fun in Kentucky!
My first visit (!) to Azur fell during the inaugural Food News and Chews Chicken Sandwich Week, which was devised in-part by none other than Head Chef Jeremy Ashby. There were only three sandwiches in the line-up that I HAD to try, and this was the perfect one to kick off the week. The Orange Honey Butter and Red Chili Glazed and Dipped Fried Chicken Sandwich with lettuce, gouda cheese, pickles, and smoked garlic mayo was nothing short of perfection! Albeit very sticky and messy to eat with all those components, but I wouldn't change even a single element. Did I mention it was perfect? Our table opted to start the meal with the Smoked Salmon and Artichoke Dip appetizer, which was rich, flavorful, and just plain DIVINE! Apparently it was also one of the newer items on the menu, and the the housemade flatbread chips it came with were crispy, layered, and perfectly fried. I could eat this entire meal again, if I'm being honest. 4/5 in our group ordered the chicken sandwich, but the one who did not absolutely raved about her salad with grilled salmon. Every portion was about 50% bigger than what you'd expect at most restaurants, so the prices were more than fair. My only qualm, and the reason this review is missing one star, is the sub-par service. I won't say it was bad, but it was most certainly not good. Our reservation was at 7:30, so I get that the volume of diners before us was probably overwhelming, but it was evident that our server did not want to be there anymore. I can't convey her attitude appropriately with words, but when she brought out a brussel sprout salad that we did not order, I'm fairly certain she took it back to the kitchen, removed the beets, and brought it back out posing as the table-sized portion of brussel sprouts we ordered as a side. When my boyfriend was finished with his beer he requested another, then waited almost 20 minutes for her to acknowledge that she hadn't brought it, begrudgingly. If she had been even a tiny bit nicer, this would EASILY be a 5-star review. I can't wait to come back and try something from the extensive regular menu (and hopefully improve this review)!
This place wins chicken week by far.it is too die for.so fresh and good.exceptional service.
Our friends came to town and said they wanted to eat somewhere nice. Knowing that the 'Malone's' card had already been played, we went to Google to find something new. My husband was impressed with their reviews and I was impressed with the availability on Open Table. We booked a reservation. We got there and our table was ready. The staff was a little slow and the prices are high - average of about $30 a plate. Since we were out splurging, we even ordered a couple apps. All of the food was OUTSTANDING. The pimento cheese croquettes were amazing and had a bourbon peach chutney I could eat with a spoon. We also had the truffle fries and they were so super well seasoned. I had the berkshire pork chop with gouda mac & cheese - so good. They also had a bacon and shrimp stuffed jalapeno on the plate - The stuffing was good but the jalapeno was sooo hot - I mean my mouth was numb after just a small bite. My husband ate the rest of it - but even he was suffering. We asked the waitress and she said they are sourcing them locally and they are super hot jalapenos. My husband had the mozzarella chicken - it was possibly the best chicken I have ever had. It was so juicy and covered in prosciutto and mozzarella. It was served with a chipotle mashed potato and asparagus. While I was happy with my pork chop, I was grateful for any of his chicken that wound up on my plate. Our friend had the bourbon fried chicken and he certainly had plenty to go around.
I am very impressed and can't wait for our next higher-dollar date night so we can try more of this menu.
Absolutely amazing! The food, atmosphere and staff are 5 star and STELLAR!! We came in after seeing this on Secrets of the bluegrass chef... absolutely lifetime customers!
Love the seasonal menu and variety. Staffing has always been excellent. The cornbread was delicious ! Cocktails are also interesting and tasty. Really love this place, but make sure you make a reservation if it s a weekend or holiday !
It's great to have AZUR back serving again. Having been forced indoors for over two months, we were most anxious to go out for dinner. Take out is just not the same when it comes to fine dining.
The staff has done an excellent job of dealing with the new restrictions and food and service were as we remember. We were unable to sit on the patio as rain was forecast but those in the covered section seemed to be enjoying it.
The food was excellent and service perfect. No glitches says a lot!!
We dined during Lexington Eats week. The food was amazing--perfectly seasoned, huge portions, possibly the best fried chicken I have ever eaten. The service was somewhat slow and inattentive.
Fish and chips, lunch menu. I subbed brussel sprouts for the fries. Great flavors, satisfying portions. Would get again.
Inventive menu, very friendly staff, and attention to detail make this a must-try for fine dining.
Always good food! We ate on the patio in December due to COVID and were warm enough. There is also a TV out there.
Food prep guy was picking his nose on the food prep line and never washed his hands or wore gloves, we will not be back
Bar service was good.
Azur catered our company event and the food was amazing. Large servings and very good.
I went there an hour before closing time. Nobody acknowledged me at the door, I had to go up to the bar. The food is really good, but they didn t offer me a drink while I was waiting for my food.
Everything is good, but the service can definitely improve.
Wonderful food. Place to sit back and visit with friends over lunch.
Great service great food at a great price. Definitely coming back!
It's average giant servings just okay I think a tad pricey I am from out of state not use to these Kentucky portion omg too much they have a live band which is kinda cool
We loved the food. It was a bit too loud, for my liking. The service was outstanding, even during this extremely busy Burger Week.
I went here for burger week with three other people. When they brought the burgers two of them were raw in the middle. We asked our server to cook them until they were no longer pink. After quite a wait (the other two at the table had finished their burgers) Our burgers were brought back raw in the middle again. I told the server I could not eat mine to please take it away from me. The other person said she would take hers in a to go box and finish cooking it at home. The server never once apologized he simply stated, "we only cook our burgers medium to medium well and this is cooked medium". We didnt want medium! He let me know he took it off the bill. I'm glad because I didn't intend to pay for something I couldn't eat!!
Went for a social happy hour. The food and drink were appetizing and the atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable; the service was tops.
Nice place but -- despite recommendations from several friends -- my meal was not up to par. It's been since time ago, so i don't remember the details -- just the disappointment. I would be willing to give it another try based on its stellar reputation.

Service is usually slow but food is generally very good. Went for lunch last week and waited 45 minutes after ordering to finally see our food. One waitress for the whole place, water refilled once, no bread and she apologized at the end but never saw a manager.
Maybe there s no daytime manager? The bad service and absent management aren t worth the food. This place rests on its laurels with wealthy clients but for the average customer forget it.
A local favorite. Great food and a fantastic atmosphere. Wonderful patio. Always look forward to a business lunch or a relaxing evening at AZUR.
Great service and food. Nice acoustic guitar music in the background.
This restaurant is incredible! We were totally blown away with our waiter, Brandon. The service was amazing as well as the OUT OF THIS WORLD food we were served. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. We were treated like royals. We are from Texas and would drive here just to eat at Azur. Thank you Brandon and Chef. This review is way overdue but despite that, I can t forget the wonderful experience, treatment and, most importantly, the FOOD! Exceptional southern hospitality.
Hope to be there next year or sooner!!
I've only been here once and I got food poisoning. I ordered the scallops and had to miss work the next day. Needless to say, I won't be going back any time soon.
The food was delicious. There was a singer that I feel would have been better placed on the patio. It seemed a little in your face to cram him into the little empty space in the dining area. But the place is nice and i will be back for more of that wonderful food!
Delicious. I ordered the Brussel sprouts slaw with shrimp. The shrimp is jumbo and perfectly seasoned. Roasted beets with goat cheese. Worth every penny. Perfect amount as a meal for one, or a shared app. Thank you it was just what I needed.
I have been told for years that this is the place to go. I was disappointed, our table had stains on it and so was the wall at our booth. It was our 9 year anniversary. I ordered a fillet mignon and asked for medium. It came out medium well and asked them for another , later they brought me another that looked the same and was dry. The dessert tastes pre made. I was so excited to try Azure , maybe they had a bad night , shoot we all have bad days . Manager was very nice .
I always enjoy Azur. It s a good place to catch up with old friends.
My fish was undercooked, other than that this was a nice place.
Truffle fries and good wine, what more could a girl need?! Turns out..everything else on Azur s fresh and local menu!
Food was amazing, service was great! Tomato pie was very good. The mozzarella chicken and the pork chop were both excellent. Our server was timely and pleasant.
As a regular, can say there are always new specials to try, food is gourmet and staff always friendly. Lunch or dinner both well priced for quality and experience!
First time here. Service was excellent. Love the food. Will be back soon.
Exceptional dining experience !
Drinks, appetizer, and entre were delightful !
Arrived early for a great seat in the open patio.
Service and ambiance were very complete.
Thank you, we shall return, with more guests !
The super food salad was a bit spicy with the kale pieces not fully cut. The lobster crepes are incredible especially with the sauce. Wait staff was very good. Lucas was making sure I was taken care of. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu.
Pleasant, waiter and trainee, very attententive, seating was distance from others (patio), food was very tasty . We well cared for.
Pricey but worth it. Food you see on food Network. Really nice place for a date
Everything about this restaurant, food, service, ambiance was top shelf.
This place does not have a menu worth ordering from. 16$ hamburgers. Better to spend your money somewhere else.
One of those places that is fancy for being fancy. Not impressed.
Of course I give my 5 stars very nice kinda quiet spot to get good food
We always have a good experience at Azur and love the patio but went for burger week recently. The burger was cooked perfectly and so good. And we learned that they have $5 burgers every Monday! We'll definitely be back for that!
Azur remains the most underrated restaurant in Lexington in my opinion. Our Father's Day lunch experience would have left us levitating if we hadn't eaten so much of our perfect entrees-Dad's Poblano and the Hot Brown, which was the finest we've ever consumed. Each flavor not only sang its own song but melded delectably with the others on our plates. My favorite bar beverage was exquisite as was my visit with the bartender who shared with me his secrets. The wait staff was attentive and made us feel like family. Can't wait until our next visit to Lexington's best kept secret!
The only thing good about this place was that the servers were nice. My fettuccine was swimming in the sauce, it was more like soup and it had corn in it. NOT worth the price they charge. A table next to us was doing some sort of special thing probably for Valentine's Day and had rose petals spread along their tables, and after they left I saw, with my own eyes, one of the employees take some of the USED and touched flower petals off the table and place them on SOMEBODYS BIRTHDAY CAKE and served it to them. Our server was touching the pitcher to every single persons' drink glass. UM HELLO THATS HOW YOU GET PEOPLE SICK. I'm utterly disgusted and can't believe they're even allowed to serve food. Will certainly never go there again.
My wife and I noticed the restaurant on our way to BruBurger and wanted to try it for the first time. We heard he band on the patio and were wanting to sit outside and listen to them play. The waitress told us they were full and had to wait an hour to be seated. We are fine with the restaurant asking us to wait- if they were full. There were at least 10 tables available inside and 5-6 on the patio. We told her it was our first time trying it and you would think she could have "tried" to fit us in, but no. They must have a problem booking reservations or not tracking cancellations. We took our business elsewhere. We will not be back.
YOU GUYS ARE BUSY, SO MY BUSINESS DOES NOT AFFECT YOU. I'M FINE WITH OUR FRIED CHICKEN TO GO FAMILY MEAL NOT BEING READY AT 5, MY WIFE NOT SO MUCH, SHE PICKED IT UP, BUT I UNDERSTAND. YOU'RE BUSY. I UNDERSTAND MOST OF THE FOOD WAS BLAND (LIKED THE SALAD AND BROCCOLI). I UNDERSTAND THAT YOU CUT THE CHICKEN UP TO GET TO 8 PIECES... SO MUCH SO THAT I THOUGHT SOMEONE HAD BEEN EATING IT BEFORE WE GOT IT. THEN I REALIZED WHAT THE CHEF WAS DOING.... I UNDERSTAND YOU FORGOT THE GRAVY AND WERE NICE ENOUGH TO CALL LETTING US KNOW, SO THAT THE WIFE COULD TURN AROUND ALMOST HOME AND GO BACK BECAUSE THE 3 YEAR OLD WOULD HAVE BEEN ANGRY WITHOUT GRAVY. I GET IT, I BET 60 TO 75 PERCENT OF THE INDEPENDENT PLACES WE HAVE BEEN ORDERING FROM FOOD WISE HAVE GOTTEN OUR ORDERS WRONG. WE USUALLY LOOK BECAUSE IT HAPPENS SO MUCH. (ALMOST NEVER HAPPENS AT FAST FOOD ACTUALLY) WE WANT TO SUPPORT FOLKS DURING THESE TIMES, ESPECIALLY NON CHAINS. LOCAL MEANS A LOT.. I UNDERSTAND ALL THIS, BUT CAN YOU TELL THE LADY THAT GIVES THE LATE GRAVY TO SAY "SORRY" TO MY WIFE NEXT TIME. THERE WON'T BE A NEXT TIME, BUT PROBABLY SHOULD ALERT HER THAT A SORRY HELPS. SOMETHING.... BUT LIKE I SAID, YOU GUYS ARE BUSY AND MY MISSING BUSINESS ISN'T GOING TO AFFECT YOU AT ALL. THANK you. i would email this to you. tried, but your email on your page doesn't work... shocker....
Great atmosphere and food. Love the live entertainment on weekends.
