Art One is a gallery that has been serving the community since 1993. The gallery owner, Kraig Foote, and his team have been working directly with high school and college students as well as hundreds of local artists to create a space where up-and-coming artists can express themselves freely and gain experience in the gallery world.
Kraig's mission was to create a place where young artists could showcase their work without being held back by financial constraints or lack of experience. He wanted to provide an opportunity for these artists to gain exposure, build their portfolios, and eventually move up the ladder in the art world.
Art One takes pride in making original and creative art affordable for anyone who is interested in starting their own collection. The gallery offers a wide range of artwork from paintings, sculptures, ceramics, photography, prints, mixed media pieces to jewelry at reasonable prices.
The gallery also hosts events such as artist receptions where visitors can meet the artist behind each piece on display. These events are an excellent opportunity for collectors or enthusiasts to learn more about the artwork they are interested in purchasing while also supporting local talent.
In addition to showcasing emerging artists' work at Art One Gallery, Kraig Foote has also curated exhibitions featuring established contemporary artists such as James Turrell and Ed Ruscha. These exhibitions have helped put Art One on the map as one of Arizona's premier galleries.
Art One's website is user-friendly with easy navigation that allows visitors to browse through available artworks online before visiting the physical location. The website features detailed information about each piece on display along with pricing information so that potential buyers can make informed decisions before making purchases.
The gallery has received numerous accolades over its years of operation including being named "Best Place To Buy Local Art" by Phoenix New Times multiple times over several years running. This recognition speaks volumes about how much this establishment means not only to the local art community but also to the wider public.
In conclusion, Art One is a gallery that has been serving the community for almost three decades. The gallery's mission to provide a space for emerging artists to showcase their work and gain experience in the art world has been successful.
