If you're a wine enthusiast, you've probably heard of Apolloni Vineyards. This family-owned winery is located in the northern Willamette Valley near Forest Grove, Oregon. The vineyard produces a range of wines that blend Italian and Oregonian flavors to create unique and delicious blends.
The History of Apolloni Vineyards
The story of Apolloni Vineyards began in 1999 when Alfredo Apolloni purchased a 40-acre property in the northern Willamette Valley. He had always been passionate about wine, having grown up on his family's vineyard in Italy. Alfredo saw the potential for growing grapes on his new property and decided to plant Pinot Noir vines.
Over time, Alfredo's son Laurine joined him at the vineyard, bringing with him his own passion for wine-making. Together they expanded their operation to include other grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Sangiovese, and Barbera.
Today, Apolloni Vineyards is known for producing high-quality wines that reflect both their Italian heritage and their love for Oregon's terroir.
The Wines of Apolloni Vineyards
Apolloni Vineyards produces a range of wines that are sure to please any palate. Their signature Pinot Noir is made from grapes grown on their estate vineyard using sustainable farming practices. The result is a complex wine with notes of cherry, raspberry, and spice.
In addition to Pinot Noir, they also produce Chardonnay which has been aged in French oak barrels giving it hints of vanilla and buttery flavors while still maintaining its crispness.
