My wife and I visit here at least once a year and always pick up a few bottles of wine. If you're unfamiliar with the area, Yamhill county is beautiful and this winery is located on top of a hill with a commanding view. Unlike many wineries, the grapes are grown here, and you really appreciate the integrity of the enterprise. It's more rustic than your world-wide operations in California, but that's one of the reasons I love Oregon wine country.
According to you're are open today (Tuesday) we drove 2 miles up a bad gravel road only to be told rudely that you are closed Monday's and Tuesday's. Would it hurt to put out a sign or fix Google!
My husband and I visited here a couple of years ago and had a wonderful experience. We appreciated the low-key, rustic charm and down home atmosphere of the entire operation - and the wines were pretty good also! There is always something going on here. We'll be back.
Amity Hills has the best, THE BEST port (the Vin Doux Naturel) wine. How did I let myself run out of it?? It beats out every tawny I have tried.
