The Alliance for Shared Values: A Non-Profit Organization Dedicated to Promoting Civic and Service Organizations

The Alliance for Shared Values (ASV) is a non-profit umbrella organization that serves as a voice for civic and service organizations associated with the Hizmet social initiative in the U.S. The ASV was established in 2014 to promote dialogue, understanding, and cooperation among diverse communities through education, outreach, and advocacy.

The Hizmet social initiative is a global movement inspired by the teachings of Turkish scholar Fethullah Gulen. The movement promotes interfaith dialogue, education, community service, and peaceful coexistence among people of different cultures and faiths. The Hizmet movement has inspired millions of people around the world to work towards building more inclusive societies based on shared values such as compassion, respect for diversity, and social responsibility.

The ASV represents over 80 civic and service organizations across the United States that are affiliated with the Hizmet movement. These organizations include schools, cultural centers, interfaith groups, humanitarian aid agencies, youth groups, women's associations, business networks,and more. Through its member organizations,the ASV seeks to promote positive change in local communities by fostering mutual understanding,collaboration,and engagement among diverse groups.

One of the key objectives of the ASV is to raise awareness about the contributions made by its member organizations towards promoting peacebuilding,social justice,and human rights.The ASV also works closely with other civil society actors,government agencies,and international institutions to advance common goals related to democracy,human rights,and sustainable development.
