The library's mission is to provide free access to information that enriches lives by promoting literacy and lifelong learning. It offers an extensive range of services including computer access & training classes; children's storytime programs; adult education courses; genealogy research assistance; job search resources & workshops; cultural events & exhibits.
One unique feature that sets Albuquerque Public Library apart from other libraries is its emphasis on community engagement. The library hosts numerous events throughout the year such as author talks & book signings; art exhibits & performances by local artists & musicians.
