COVID vaccinations were handled smoothly and efficiently. Staff was pleasant and helpful.
Service was good and Helena knows her stuff. I feel like I will recover from my knee injury and back.
Took a snow day with my daughter she had a fantastic time. She enjoyed making improvements to some of the snowman the were constructed. Thank you HU!
Went for covid first shot. Parking was tight, so give yourself ample parking time. Adams building was very organized, with ample staffing and explicit directions. Seniors, since you are prioritized, you may have to push your way thru to acquire an appointment. I had a proactive advocate and overheard someone from out of state bragging. Push your way thru. Once on site with appointment, you're good to go.
Just sayin...
The workers were nice and helpful. Even when you try To Be Mean, they become more pleasant and make you smile.
Very special, I had an opportunity to tour Howard University for the first time and I absolutely loved it. The campus is beautiful and so inspiring. Also, to pay homage to the university that fostered the talent of the late Chadwick Boseman and so many other deserving black students. Seeing my annual donation put to work, brilliant.
Amazing 4 years spent here. The CS department is full of life changing opportunities. I would recommend Howard to everyone who would have to pursue their academic career in a very friendly, humble and intellectual setting. You will have a mix of both fun and work.
HU, You Know!
Howard U Med School has done an awesome service to the community providing COVID-19 vaccinations to those over age 70. Efficient, communicative, and compassionate. Thanks so much!
A lot of the buildings seem to be under construction. Overall, walking through the campus educated me on a few things that I didn t know before.
Today I was kept on dialysis, after I requested to be tooken off. They have a patient bill of rights, yet the staff can voliate your rights without justification of patients right. The patients find no relief, cause the Supervisor Office Manager is not vested in their best interested. The Dialysis Center is contracted business within Howard University Hospital, that operates under the organization of Howard University Hospital. Wherein the treatment of patients, should be inline with the policy and directives of Howard University Hospital guidelines of patients treatment and care.

AKA Sorority: Empowering Women and Building Communities
At Howard University, students are encouraged to create experiences that shape them into the person they want to be. The Division of Student Affairs is dedicated to providing support and resources for students as they navigate their academic and personal journeys. One of the organizations that has been making a significant impact on campus is AKA Sorority.
AKA Sorority, also known as Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, was founded in 1908 at Howard University. It is the first African American Greek-lettered sorority and has since grown into an international organization with over 300,000 members worldwide. The sorority's mission is to provide service to all mankind while promoting sisterhood among women.
One of the core values of AKA Sorority is leadership development. Members are encouraged to take on leadership roles within their communities and make a positive impact through service projects. The sorority offers various programs that focus on leadership development such as Emerging Young Leaders (EYL), which provides mentorship for young girls in middle school; ASCEND, which focuses on high school students; and Target 3: Building Your Economic Legacy℠, which aims to empower members with financial literacy skills.
Another important aspect of AKA Sorority's mission is community service. Members are committed to serving their communities through various initiatives such as health awareness campaigns, educational programs for youth, environmental sustainability efforts, and supporting local businesses. In fact, AKA Sorority has donated over $10 million dollars towards scholarships for deserving students across the United States.
AKA Sorority also places great emphasis on sisterhood among its members. Through social events like mixers and formals or community service projects like volunteering at local food banks or organizing clothing drives for those in need - members build strong bonds with one another while making a positive impact in their communities.
In addition to its commitment towards leadership development, community service initiatives and fostering sisterhood among its members - AKA Sorority also prioritizes scholarship opportunities for its members through various grants offered by both national headquarters as well as individual chapters across the country.
Overall - AKA Sorority continues to make a significant impact not only at Howard University but across the world by empowering women through leadership development opportunities while simultaneously building stronger communities through impactful community service initiatives all while fostering lifelong bonds between sisters who share similar values around education excellence & social responsibility!
