AISB – The Society for the Study of Artificial Intelligence and Simulation of Behaviour is a leading organization in the field of artificial intelligence. Established in 1964, AISB has grown to become the largest AI society in the United Kingdom with an international membership drawn from both academia and industry.
At AISB, we are committed to advancing research and development in artificial intelligence and simulation of behavior. Our members include researchers, practitioners, educators, students, and enthusiasts who share a common interest in exploring the potential of AI to transform our world.
Our mission is to promote interdisciplinary research that combines insights from computer science, psychology, philosophy, neuroscience, linguistics, anthropology and other related fields. We believe that by bringing together experts from different disciplines we can create new knowledge that will help us better understand human cognition and behavior as well as develop more effective AI systems.
AISB organizes conferences, workshops and other events throughout the year where members can present their latest research findings or learn about new developments in AI. We also publish a quarterly newsletter which features articles on current topics related to artificial intelligence.
One of our key initiatives is promoting public awareness about AI through outreach programs aimed at schools and community groups. We believe it is important for people to understand how AI works so they can make informed decisions about its use.
