Very poor customer service. Bought travel insurance for family. But trip was cancelled due Covid19. In order to get refund, have to submit photocopies of Nric of evry member of family as the refund will be paid separately to them. This is ridiculous. The policy single premium is paid by me, why must the refund be split up individually. But customer service stubborn reply is this is how its done. Totally frustrating customer service! Still no improvement after so many poor reviews.

I am insured with AIG for my car insurance.
I am utterly disappointed with their service as they want me to prove that stones falls on my bonnet.
How to prove??
I query and they denied the claim for the repair.
Very bad surveyor as they are not experience .
I know that there are workshop who wants to escalate their claim in accident and they are not experience to tell who is sincere and who are the culprit.
Very bad and not professional at well.
Sad that i have to bear the cost

Very poor service.. Premium was deducted twice in a month. Called them 4 times to clarify and the Customer Service staff couldnt assist at all. They need to refer to Finance Dept and will only get back to me 3 days later.
Did not get any response so I sent email and online feedback to them. Again no response.
As tis is thru bank GIRO. There is nothing I can do except to keep calling AIG.. Till today still no answer.. Atrocious! Don deserve the 1 star..

Was firstly told to contact customer service only during their weekday working hours. After that was then told to drive to the service centre ASAP. Customer service reps don t know what they are talking about. Instructed to rush down to service centre after an incident. Was not informed to bring any other documents. Reached service centre was told that I needed the document to submit the claim.

Hi, i got a call from AIG Singapore, telling me that because i shopped via shoppee i am entitled to get some Star wellness plan for income during hospitalization. I didnt want the plan so kept pushing it away, then the person told me that you sign up now, your policy will come with in 5 weeks and then you will have two more weeks if you dont like you can cancel the policy anytime till then and no amount will be deducted, if any deductions it will be refunded back. Now after receiving the policy when i call after a week , they say we cannot refund any amount already deducted. Isnt it total fraudulent practice. If this is how they fraud the customers i can only imagine how would they handle the claims.

Several years ago, I had bad experience claiming AIG travel insurance. They made it very hard for customers by extremely strict T&Cs for travel delay. So they rejected my claim. Now, coming to the car insurance, they work with a lot of dealership to provide insurance to customers. However, unlike other insurance companies, they are not able to provide T&Cs in details for customers to read through BEFORE signing. They said that you have to sign first before receiving the detailed T&Cs. Isn't it strange that customers sign something without knowing the detailed T&Cs? Is it even legal to do so?

Case Number: 2890736927SG
Received an email from AIG representatives Jamunarani Thiagarajan on 24 July 2020, was asked to have supporting documents. Emailed him back and 6th August to tell him that I am waiting for hospital to revert me. Finally after documentation received from hospital, I emailed him back on 1st Sep, no reply from him as well, forward my email to ClaimsAdminSupport@aig.com on 4th Sep, still no reply from them till now as of 9th Sep. What kind of service is this? No sense of responsibility of the back end staff. I would recommend potential clients to go for other insurance, not the unresponsive company

After exchanging of emails and completion various documents required for claims on my cancelled trip. The communication started in 2nd of June 2020 and comes Sept 3 emails saying that the claim is finally on process with 14 days.. A follow up email dated 7th Sept saying it is REJECTED due to etc etc etc.

The cancellation of the trip was due to COVID 19. which in any way was not my fault or the airline itself.. Its worldwide pandemic. Hello are your exempted??
