Monica Hood paralegal is the rudest piece of expletive I've ever dealt with. ..she was no help at all over talked us the entire conversation...then then said tell me what's going on...that means you have to shut your mouth in order to be told about the situation...horrible at being a paralegal it may be time to find a new career...

Great service for low income individuals. I participated in the transgender and gender con-conforming service where Atlanta Legal Aid will represent you for low or no cost to change your name. Everyone was very professional and did a lot of the work to help me change an aspect of my life that meant a lot to me.

They deserve zero stars. I'm in a very important family law matter where my signature was forged and submitted to the courts. Now I'm being held in contempt for a order I never knew existed. They set me up with a lawyer before my court date and I became confident that Ellen my lawyer and with my evidence, there's no way I could be held in contempt because I didn't "willfully" disobey a court order. I heard from my lawyer ONCE... She returned one email with no helpful information. Never answered the phone, never emailed me, didn't show up to my court hearing. Because I didn't have representation, I was disrespected by the other lawyer and the judge said "I don't care about the forgery".. I don't think he would've spoken to me that way if I had a lawyer. Because I'm low income, I was screwed by the state because I couldn't afford representation and the other party could. Called Legal Aid, told them I lost the case and REALLY needed help to appeal because I didn't deserve that verdict. They seemed sincere and told me I would get a call back and guess what... Nothing... Now half of my income has to go to frauds and their lawyer. How am I supposed to take care of the minors in my own home??? I guess because I can't afford a decent lawyer, it's screw what happens to me.... zero stars for this company
