The World Summit Youth Award is a global contest that brings together multimedia professionals aged below 30. It selects and promotes the world´s best practice in e-content. It also demonstrates young people´s potential to create outstanding digital contents via internet and mobiles and serves as a platform for people from all UN member states to work together in the efforts to reach the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The Youth Award is organized by the International Center for New Media, a not-for-profit organization based in Salzburg, Austria.
