VocaDev operates via consultancy. Singers, speakers are encouraged to come in and submit samples of their voices at different pitches, so that we can analyze the tuning mechanisms at work in the different vocal registers. For singers, spectral analyses of the second formant is key to determining whether or not the singer's voice has been tuned for proper transitions between registrations especially into the upper extension.
