World On-Demand is a 24-hours pay-TV service, introduced by The New Media Group in Japan, Australia and Taiwan. It is transmitted through broadband networks via an IPTV service and uses its own end to end software platform.[1] It is a service that will allow multimedia content - including broadcast channels and on-demand programming - to be viewed on any television set, PC and Mac. The IPTV service utilizes IP set-top boxes (STBs), connected over any broadband telephone line.
