In March 2013, Woodify was founded by two young entrepreneurs, Robert van Hoesel and Bastiaan Zwanenburg. They were both looking for wooden sunglasses in Europe, which were amazingly popular in the USA at that time. Unfortunately, they didn’t found any wooden sunglasses in Europe for prices less than €150. They decided to find out how wooden sunglasses are being made. Friends of them introduced them to a company that was capable of producing these sunglasses, with the quality level they demanded, and offered to do so. Those glasses satisfied them a lot, so they decided to put them out in the European market, for an affordable price. Right now, Woodify is working together with a company that makes the wooden sunglasses for us, by hand. They’re really happy that you’re clearly interested in this company.
