Withers for Warriors performs the exploration of reduction of symptoms of PTSD in Veterans using Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP). Certified therapy horses are used to distinguish between neurotypical humans and Veterans experiencing psychological trauma. Evidenced through different behaviors, horses mirror back emotions to the Veterans, creating the environmental conditions for healing and recovery.
