There are more than 1.2 Billion smartphones without internet access in the world. On the other hand, there are 440 Mi homes with WiFi signal, that is, at least one WiFi antenna for every 3 disconnected smartphones. It was in this context that entrepreneur, computer scientist and MBA in Business Management, Eduardo Schroeder, set up a team of developers and designers, who together, add more than half a century of experience in technological innovation, to found Wiffier, startup that bets on paid wifi sharing to enhance the experience of those who already have mobile plans, as well as provide free mobile internet. Wiffier has created a shared savings model to leverage idle population assets (WiFi antennas), transforming fixed internet into mobile, aggregating the following values for three different communities: 1) free mobile internet for population; 2) monetized sharing of idle wifi by antenna owners; and, 3) digital marketing for new audiences.
