Wedg is a self-hosted email and file storage device, designed with greater emphasis on strong security and privacy values. The device is a personal cloud and data does not need to be stored with any third party. Users are provided with a 512-bit disk encryption activated at time of log in. Sensitive user data is also sandboxed away from any third party apps within a secure zone on the device to prevent outside services accessing encrypted content. The service can also host small business websites. The Wedg was made available from 2014.
