WebCite is an on-demand archiving service to permanently store webpages. It can be used by authors, editors, and publishers of scholarly papers and books to ensure that cited web material will remain available to readers in the future. WebCite digitally preserves scientific and educationally important material on the web by making snapshots of web content as they existed at the time when a blogger, scholar, or a Wikipedia editor cited or quoted from it.
