Vitulo Plus system is to improve the veal sector in the areas of animal health, animal welfare, food safety and reduction of antibiotics (and therefore also human health). The core of the Vitulo Plus system is a subcutaneous sensor to monitor veal calves and to monitor the health and well-being of the animals throughout the chain, from birth to slaughter. By detecting, among other things, variations in temperature and activity, diseases and / or stress can be signaled early. This will contribute to less use of antibiotics and to the early insight into problems in the chain, for example during transport. In addition, the system offers a very simple and automated method for administration and medication registration per calf.
