Utopia BLU is a cooperative design firm primarily located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The team brings technology to life with a dreamy 3D approach, giving poetry a physical form that breaks away from everyday rationality and strictly organised thinking. Creative duo Philip H. Wilck and Tiia Vahula focus on design for 3D printing and creative fabrication. Using various digital tools, their numerous projects investigate cutting-edge digital fabrication methods and the limits of physical form. Technology has never been so integrated into everyday life as it is now. So close, but still so far. By giving technology a human scale and a story, Utopia BLU becomes the catalyst between art, design and technology. The team believes in interdisciplinarity, and use close collaborations with various artists, technologists and scientists to create memorable projects and experiences.
