Uniross is a specialist in the distribution of rechargeable batteries and chargers, such as batteries for cordless telephones, cellular telephones, and camcorders, to name but a few. The company also manufactures intrinsically safe batteries for use in hazardous areas and has the SABS (South African Bureau Of Standards) certification mark for such batteries. During the 1990s, it extended its sales network to France, Italy, Scandinavia, and Germany. Uniross was founded in 1968 at Bristol, United Kingdom, and is headquartered in Lognes, France (since 1998).
