Underground Power (UP) is a cleantech company that develops and markets systems that derive energy from vehicle motion. It offers LYBRA, a smart speed absorber that turns traffic into energy. LYBRA is installed ground flush in the areas where vehicles are expected to reduce their speed for road safety reasons. It helps cars respecting the speed limits and retrieves the kinetic energy wasted during the deceleration. Underground Power was founded in 2011 and is based in Milano, Italy.
