TreadDesk Inc was founded in 2006 and is a family owned and operated business that was the first company in the world to sell treadmill desks. By combining a unique treadmill which was the first of its kind along with an adjustable height desk, the TreadDesk was born. Unlike a traditional treadmill that is designed and engineered for running and walking at faster speeds, the TreadDesk was designed and engineered to be used for walking at slow speeds for extended periods of time. Using a traditional treadmill at these slow speeds for hours at a time would burn the motor up in a very short time frame but that is exactly what the TreadDesk was engineered to do.
