UniSpreadtrum is a semiconductor company that manufactures mobile chipset platforms that support 2G, 3G, and 4G wireless communications standards for consumer electronics products such as smartphones and feature phones. UniSpreadtrum was formed in 2013 when Spreadtrum, a Chinese chip manufacturer, has been acquired by Tsinghua Unigroup. UniSpreadtrum's customers include manufacturers, both global and China-based, that develop mobile products for customers from China and from emerging markets around the world.
