About company

SocialLight was started by students of The University of Chicago that have grown tired of the stigmas and toxicity perpetuated by current social media. Eager to restore the original purpose of social media-to connect and hangout with friends, SocialLight was born. We hope to create a space on our app where everyone feels free to be their authentic selves without judgment. It is our goal that our app helps motivate users to establish new friendships and grow existing friendships through creating spontaneous plans with friends based on mutual availability and location.
