Founded in August 1999 by first-generation talent from Netscape and Excite, Themestream (www.themestreamtech.com) is dedicated to providing consumers with a comprehensive collection of articles, information and gear related to their personal interests. Themestream has partnerships with Netscape, Homestead, and publishing giant Simon & Schuster; boasts thousands of articles on specific topics; and provides access to relevant links and products based upon each personal interest area. Headquartered in Sunnyvale, Calif., Themestream received venture funding from Kleiner Perkins and Redpoint and is privately held.
