Scale Labs started its journey in July 2016 with the aim to address the challenges faced by brands & e-retailers when selling across their borders. The co-founders saw an immense potential in selling via the international marketplaces that could lead to exponential increase in the sales for domestic brands. In a short span of 6 months, Scale Labs was enabling 50 brands to sell internationally. Cross-border sales led to increased revenues of up to 45% for our partner brands and their profitability increased as well. To support the growth, Scale Labs team grew from 3 to 20. We closed FY 2016-17 with a small profit margin. Currently, Scale Labs is focused on helping Indian sellers sell internationally. Today, we are enabling over 250 brands & e-retailers to sell across 20+ global marketplaces. We are also starting a pilot to bring in foreign brands enabling them to sell on Indian marketplaces.
