The Online Citizen is a community blogging platform involved in the area of cyber activism in Singapore. In 2010, just months before Singapore’s 2011 general elections, it ran its first face-to-face forum. Recorded and posted online, its face-to-face forum drew the approval of its readers for presenting political coverage. As a volunteer-based organization, The Online Citizen depends on the goodwill and dedication of its pool of writers, photographers, videographers, researchers, analysts, event managers, and many others. It was launched in 2006 and is based in Singapore.
