The Technology Foundation of the Americas was created to help advance the technology ecosystem in South Florida by focusing on four major areas: TFA-chart Education: promote technology education to students from kindergarten through graduate school in order to encourage and empower talented youngsters to pursue careers in an industry that will be essential in the 21st Century and beyond. Employment base: ensure that South Florida offers technology companies a robust base of workers that meet their needs. Institutional funding: attract the firms and organizations that provide much-needed capital to early-stage and growth-stage companies that can grow in their community and provide high-wage desirable employment opportunities for their residents. Start-ups/entrepreneurship: help accelerate the strong momentum in South Florida’s start-up ecosystem and foster the entrepreneurship spirit among their community’s innovators.
