Established in 2012, Terapede Systems is a venture funded start-up in Campbell California, near San Jose, developing an ultra-high resolution medical flat panel x-ray detector enabling the highest X-ray image quality while managing patient safety with a low radiation dose. In 2011, the founder and CEO realized that by using a unique 3D 4-sided CMOS structure he could advance the x-ray detector to the next generation making it much more sensitive to x-rays and easier to scale to any size, thus reducing dosage while providing a better image for each application. Additionally, the ultra-high resolution technology enables a new generation of diagnostic automation software reducing time for diagnosis and false positive costs. It's all about diagnosing what cannot be seen today, detecting disease sooner, improving patient outcomes and comfort and reducing treatment costs.
