Techtran’s approach is based around superior execution. Techtran provides a commercialisation team composing a blend of backgrounds taken from science, corporate finance and management consultancy, as well as access to small pre-seed funding. We work in very close partnership with both the university and the academic. Techtran signed its first technology transfer outsourcing deal with the University of Leeds in December 2002. This deal allows Techtran to help unlock value emanating from the University's world-class research base for the benefit of all stakeholders, including the academic inventors and their research teams, the University and the wider community. Techtran is currently in discussions to roll out its outsourced technology transfer service to other UK Universities. It also expects to form similar alliances with other public and private research based organisations outside of the academic sector.
