Respect our customers, offer a good product at a fair price, and back it up with good service. Towne & Country Furniture has been family owned and operated Since 1967. On September 1, 1967, Mr. James M. Van Devender, Sr. bought the furniture store he had been managing from Mather's Furniture Co. He renamed it Quality Furniture. Quality Furniture was located at 905 Davis Avenue. In March of 1968, Mr. Van Devender opened a second location called Discount Furniture Co. Later that year, Quality Furniture was relocated to 502 Dauphin St. In 1972, the two stores merged into one and became Quality Furniture Co.
