TaketheFight is a radical two-year fellowship designed to change lives and transform the health system. We train top college students and pair them one-on-one with cancer patients to help those patients fight more efficiently. Our students, called Cancer Strategists, do everything from attending doctors’ appointments with their patient, to researching clinical trial options based on their tumor biomarkers, to oftentimes attending tumor board meetings. We’ve successfully trained and paired students with serious cancer patients at a Top 20 cancer center, Wake Forest, for over two years. We’ve had ivy-league trained oncologists say that our Strategists “improve patient outcomes,” and we’ve had patients tell us that they wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for TaketheFight. We're proving each and everyday that a group of 20 years olds, can and in fact, do have the power to create lasting change.
