About company

Surface Tension is a music technology software company specialising in composition and performance tools for tablet computers. The company was founded in Ireland by Simon Kenny and Patrick McGlynn in August 2013, as a spin-out from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth. The two founders won first place in the university's annual entrepreneur competition in May 2013 and secured a small sum of money with which to start a company with. The company is currently working on their first product, called Oscar, which is a surface-based musical instrument for Android and iPad tablets.
