Student Junction is a social network aimed directly at students. The aim of the site is to combine social media with online learning so that social media becomes an aid rather than a distraction. The site includes the core network as well as other education related features such as a planner, marketplace, library, blogs, and forums. The sire is launching on June 4th in the UK, and hopes to expand to Europe and the USA as soon as possible.
