The Steinmetz Foundation was founded in 2007 by businessman and philanthropist Beny Steinmetz and his wife Agnes, with the aim of creating a better future for the children and youth in Israel. Up until that point, the Steinmetz family regularly donated to a variety of organizations in Israel and abroad, and in 2007 they decided to create a foundation for their philanthropic efforts, so they can operate more strategically and professionally. The Steinmetz foundation believes that the early childhood and teen years are formative years and a critical phase in a child's life. The main strategic efforts of the foundation are directed at developing professional services for early childhood. the Foundation is also passionate about supporting a wide range of programs helping youth at risk, students, as well as program promoting culture and health.
