MetaChip consisting of multiple biosensors capable of detecting genetic markers associated with the presence of 18 types of cancer. The markers detected by MetaChip are known as microRNAs. A different profile of these molecules are released by cancer cells of each type of cancer in very early stages of the disease. The idea is MetaChip be close to the people, bring a new way to monitor the onset of cancer. They propose a portable diagnosis, which does not require trained personnel, and may be used for routine assessment in the prevention and diagnosis of cancers that cause most deaths worldwide.
