STARskaters is a Paralympic Sport Club, which means we provide a path to the Olympic games for any participants with the talents and desire to compete at the highest levels. STARskaters receives no funding from the USOC. All of our programs are privately funded through individuals, corporations, and fundraising events. 100% of your donation goes toward our mission of providing an ice skating experience to individuals with physical or developmental disabilities. STARskaters.org was founded by Sugar Land, Texas businessman Jim O’Neill in 2008. The organization is comprised of Houston area volunteers, many of whom are hockey players, skating instructors, figure skaters, coaches and officials. STARskaters.org is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which provides three main programs: ★ Sled Hockey, ★ Skate Therapy, ★ STAR skates.
