Stargus was founded in June 2000 with the goal of addressing the need for comprehensive network and service management solutions specifically designed for cable broadband networks. The company built a leadership team with deep industry and technology experience, including executives with network and operational experience at major cable operators, several of the key architects of the DOCSIS™ standards, along with software executives with proven abilities in building, delivering and supporting systems for large enterprise and service provider networks. Until now, cable operators' broadband network management needs have been served by simple, reactionary network tools that only provide a snapshot of activity for a limited number of subscribers or network devices. Stargus' CableEdge™ family of products represents the first intelligent network management and planning software specifically designed for DOCSIS infrastructure and IP services.
