Southern/alpha launched as an online news property to tell the story of Southern startups, but they hope to be so much more. Their mission, as they see it, is to provide the startup and technology communities with news and information to ease their navigation of their respective and communal ecosystems. The South is not a collection of islands, though it seems to operate as such.
